LONDON: The Sabah Tourism Board (STB) under the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Royal Brunei Airlines (RBA) on Joint Marketing Collaboration.
STB General Manager Noredah Othman signed on behalf of the Board while RBA Country Manager – UK & Ireland, Adiel Mambara who is based here, signed on behalf of the Airlines at the ongoing World Travel Market (WTM) 2019 held at the Malaysia Pavilion at ExCel London, Monday.
The inking ceremony was witnessed by Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Christina Liew, Chairman of Tourism Malaysia,Datuk Ahmad Shah Hussein Tambakau, Director-General of Tourism Malaysia, Datuk Musa Yusof and STB Chairman Ken Pan Ying On.
Liew, who is also Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment, said the objective is to provide a framework for cooperation between STB and RBA in terms of tourism marketing and promotion, on the basis of mutual benefit.
“We seek to strengthen the friendly relationship between Sabah Tourism Board and Royal Brunei Airlines. We are desirous of enhancing cooperation on marketing and promotion by both participants,” she said.
The Minister is leading an eight-member Sabah delegation from her Ministry and STB to participate in the WTM London 2019 at Excel London, here. They include STB Director Datuk Alex Decena, Senior Marketing Manager Josephine Chai, Assistant Marketing Manager (Oceania, UK, Europe & North America), Daniel Roman and Liew’s Private Secretary Helen Muhammari.
