SANDAKAN: Folks here are invited to attend the Public Health Talk Seminar On Cancer in Children organised by Lions Club of Sandakan Selingan on Saturday.
According to organising committee member Chan Boon Thian, the programme will be held at Mirza Event Hall in IJM (Bandar Utama) from 2.00 to 3.30 pm and admission is free.
The guest speaker is Dr. Agnes Foo, Consultant Paediatrician and Head of Paediatric Department at Duchess of Kent Hospital, Chan said after members of the organising committee led by Dr. Heong Yee Gian paid a courtesy call to Dr. Foo at her office.
“The topics are introduction to cancer in children, symptoms to aware, diagnosis and how to treat it, and Q & A session with Dr. Agnes Foo,” Chan said.
Chan said kindergarten teachers, Child Nursery teachers, young parents, child care takers and public are encouraged to attend the 90 minutes programme.
Participants will each receive a door gift sponsored by KDH Pharmacy & Organic, he added.
