SANDAKAN: In 2017, the first ever Sandakan Food Festival (SFF) kicked off with much fanfare, attracting huge interest from local media as well as social media influencers abroad, with an estimated 30,000 people visiting the Food Festival Village.
Spurred on by the positive response, Sandakan Tourism Association (STAN) will once again partner with the local communities and food industry leaders to organize the 2nd edition of the Food and Agriculture Festival this Sept 13 to 15 at the open space carpark next to Yu Yuan Secondary School in Bandar Kim Fung.
This was disclosed by a representative of the STAN Exco after a courtesy visit to Sandakan Member of Parliament Vivian Wong today.
Expressing their gratitude to Vivian Wong for her strong support and sponsorship for the event, STAN believe that it is imperative to continue to promote our Sandakan food heritage in order to gain a foothold as one of the foodies destinations in the country.
Booths for the food festival is opened for registration now. All restaurant, kedai makan, or food stall vendors and green grocers, especially those offering unique Sandakan eats and agricultural products, are welcome to showcase their products during the 3-day period.
