KOTA KINABALU: Api-Api Assemblywoman Datuk Christina Liew has donated two wheelchairs for the use of patients seeking treatment at the Maternal and Child Health Clinic (KKIKK) at Jalan Kebajikan here.
She handed over the items to the Medical Officer Dr Nurul Murni, witnessed by Sister Halimah Epong, during a visit to the clinic, accompanied by Api-Api Community Development Leader, Grace Lee.

These worn-out seats will be replaced by new ones.
Liew, who is also Deputy Chief Minister, requested the Api-Api Community Development Leader Unit (UPPM) to look into the need to get 50 new chairs for the clinic under her Assemblywoman Fund.
“I understand that more than 100 senior citizens, mothers, children and babies are being attended to daily,” she said.
Meanwhile, the Api-Api Assemblywoman took a close look at the newly-completed adjacent shed that serves as a waiting area for patients and family members.
Liew also checked out the condition of the drainage system in the vicinity of the clinic, where the water was reportedly stagnant due to closure of its outflow into the main drain. “I am glad that the blockage has since been cleared,” she said.Present were Kota Kinabalu City Hall (DBKK) Traffic & Transportation Department’s assistant engineers Durie Juneh and Terry James.
