SANDAKAN:  Residents of Taman Mawar near Sibuga voiced their discontent over the recent tree trimming work which they claimed had damaged a section of the  chain link fencing in the residential area.

The tree trimming was carried out in the middle of this month and residents complained to me that workers undertaking the work damaged the fencing, MCA Batu Sapi Division chairman Dato Chew Kok Woh said in a media statement on Friday.

“They are unhappy because the damaged section of the chain link fencing is  left there and nothing has been done about it for more than a week now,” Chew said.

Chew said he would assist the residents to write to the relevant authorities to highlight the matter.

On another issue, Chew said residents were also not happy with the new management team which they claimed was not responding promptly to complaints raised particularly on the repainting of car parking lots.

According to them the previous management was far better in discharging their responsibilities. Many of them are reluctant to pay their maintenance fee due the poor performance of the new management team.
