TENOM: United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO) Tenom Woman Chief Rosinah Abok led a team of her members to visit patients at Tenom Hospital.
During the event, they spread cheer by distributing mandarin oranges and angpau (red packets). The gesture was a welcome respite for the patients, and the team’s presence was appreciated by all.
The visit was also marked by prayers and well-wishes for the patients’ speedy recovery.
Among those present during the visit were the Head of UPKO N.42 Melalap, Junik Bajit, who was accompanied by his wife and members of the UPKO Youth Committee.
Their presence brought joy and encouragement to the patients and families at the hospital.
According to Rosinah, the programme was part of UPKO’s efforts to stay close to the community and help alleviate their burdens, especially in the lead-up to the Chinese New Year celebration.
