SANDAKAN: Sandakan Tourism Association (STAN) is proud to announce Malindo Airways to be the Official Airline Partner of the 2nd Sandakan Food and Agriculture Festival 2019.
In 2017, the first ever Sandakan Food Festival (SFF) kicked off with much fanfare, attracting huge interest from local media as well as social media influencers abroad, with an estimated 30,000 people visiting our Festival Village over the festival’s 4-day period.
Spurred on by the positive response, Sandakan Tourism Association (STAN) will once again partner with the local communities and food industry leaders to organize the 2nd edition of the Festival from 13th to 15th September this year.
This unique event aims to showcase Sandakan’s extraordinary diversity, drawing from culinary styles from various communities here, as well as her wide array of agricultural produce. The 4-day Festival at Bandar Kim Fung will feature food stalls, food trucks, cooking demonstrations, competitions, and agricultural produce booths. The festive atmosphere promises to bring all guests a wonderful experience at the Festival.
Malindo Air is starting a new flight route from Kota Kinabalu to Sandakan on 18 Aug 2019. We hope this will bring more people to this Festival. As the Official Airline Partner of the Festival, Malindo Air will provide three (3) pairs of return Sandakan-Kota Kinabalu (SDK-BKI) air tickets as the Festival’s lucky draw and competition prizes ; food redemption using Malindo Air’s boarding pass; feature the Festival in MalindoMag ; and promote the Festival in Malindo Air’s social media channels.

Travellers in Kota Kinabalu can now make their way over to the Land Below the Wind with Malindo Air’s direct flights between Kota Kinabalu (BKI) and Sandakan (SDK) from 18th of August 2019. The flights come with options of Economy Class and Business Class that offer spacious legroom.
