POON: NO POLIO CASES IN SANDAKAN

SANDAKAN:  Sabah Health and People’s Wellbeing Minister Datuk Frankie Poon reassured the people there were no polio cases in the district.
Poon, who is also Tanjong Papat Assemblyman, was commenting on issue which went viral on the social media recently.

“Although there had been no cases reported here so far, we are monitoring and will provide an update from time to time,” he said after officiating the “Back To School” hair cutting programme at the Sim Sim Futsal Court on Tuesday.

He said there was no cause for worry.

Poon also advised the local community not to worry about H1N1 Influenza as necessary measures have already taken.

He however advised parents to take the necessary measures by going to the clinic for checks if they were concerned.

“There is no need to worry about this as I have stated in a recent press statement,” Poon said.
