Ampang landslide: Bodies of fourth, fifth victims found

AMPANG, 11 MAC — The bodies of the fourth and fifth victims from the landslide at Taman Bukit Permai 2 in Ampang was found , early this morning.

According to Ampang Jaya District Police Chief, ACP Mohamad Farouk Eshak, the fourth victim, A Mahendran, 37, was recovered in front of house unit number nine, here , around 11 at night.

“Fifth victim, a local man, is the resident of house number three recovered in front of the house,”

“The man was found at about 1.55 morning and inspection made by medical officers, confirmed the victim has deceased,” he said in a media conference at the site of the incident, early this morning.

Adding on , he said the Fire and Rescue Malaysia Department (JPBM) will operate using the K9 Unit tracker dogs at the site of the landslide of to ensure no other victims involved.

“The search and rescue task (SAR) is complete and flushing work using K9 will be conducted,”

“Once it is determined there are no other victims, the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) will conduct a clean-up.” he said.
